Elie in the Heart of the East Neuk of Fife - Food and Drink
As you travel around the Kingdom of Fife, you cannot help but notice the abundance of fertile farmland. Through the East Neuk villages, you can watch the catch of the day being unloaded from busy fishing boats. You can browse and buy direct from local producers at farmers markets at a number of towns throughout Fife.
With such a natural larder to hand, little wonder there are so many superb places to eat throughout Fife, from exclusive, intimate restaurants to friendly cafes, teashops and bars.Click here for details of a few eating places in the East Neuk

Sangster's famous Restaurant in Elie.
Sangster's Awarded a Michelin Star - One of only four in Scotland awarded at this time, January 2009. The Michelin Guide, which covers hotels and restaurants, is considered the "Bible" of good eating. Restaurants being considered for inclusion can be visited up to a dozen times in secret by inspectors to ensure they offer a consistent level of quality and service.
The Restaurant is Calm, homely and very comfortable. Being a world class Chef your master chef has considered everything from table size and seat comfort (very important when enjoying a gastronomic extravaganza) to space, decor and tableware.

Sangster's is a dining experience, so don't expect to see a kids menu, chicken nuggets or burgers and if you want vegetarian be sure to let chef know when you reserve your table or you will be very disappointed. Bruce can cater for everybody including any special diets but he needs to know your requirement well in advance to cater for your specific need.
